Source: Green Seal, Inc.

The revision of GS-37 for institutional green cleaners is in the scoping phase and a revised GS-08 standard for household cleaners is now available.

The revision process for GS-37: Green Seal Environmental Standard for General-Purpose, Bathroom, Glass, and Carpet Cleaners Used for Industrial and Institutional Purposes is currently in the scoping phase.  During this phase Green Seal will identify necessary modifications, which may include adding, amending criteria, or deleting criteria.  For updates on this revision process, visit Green Seal’s Draft Documents page.

In addition to ongoing GS-37 revisions, Green Seal has released an updated GS-8: Environmental Standard for General-Purpose, Bathroom, Glass, and Carpet Cleaners Used for Household Purposes. The new standard includes updates to criteria for prohibited ingredients, air pollutants, skin and eye irritation, skin sensitization, and packaging.
