New York Bidding to Become Sunshine State

May 20, 2009

Two new solar projects are poised to give New York State's power grid a sunnier disposition. Governor David Paterson recently unveiled a 100 MW solar photovoltaic project, which follows closely on the heels of an announcement for a 50 MW project.  These two installations would position New York as the state with the second highest installed PV capacity, and advance the state's goal of receiving 45 percent of its electricity through energy efficiency and clean renewable energy by 2015.
