With RPN's assistance, the State of Wisconsin and City of Cambridge, MA recently concluded purchases of green power. RPN began work with Wisconsin and Cambridge in October 2006 and in partnership with Think Energy, Inc., a consulting firm specializing in renewable energy, helped the clients analyze the green power marketplace and issue and review RFPs. Wisconsin's contract is for over 90,000 MWh of grid-delivered wind power per year for the next ten years. Cambridge's contract is for 10,000 MWh worth of renewable energy certificates (RECs) over a three year period.
RPN congratulates Wisconsin and Cambridge on their purchases. For more information on green power purchasing, see the Responsible Purchasing Guide for Green Power.
